Keyword Density Analysis Less Important Than Natural Writing
Author: Eric Brantner
Much has been made about the importance of finding the ideal keyword density for your website. Some experts believe you should aim for a keyword density of 2%, while others suggest it should be from 10% to 15%. The truth of the matter is that there is a lot of speculation behind this topic and very little facts to accompany it. That is why the goal of my SEO writing is to make my content flow naturally rather than achieve a certain percentage of keywords.
It is painfully obvious when a SEO writer gets caught up in the practice of keyword density analysis. The content is difficult to read and sounds robotic. In fact, I believe writing that is focused solely on achieving a target keyword density has an effect that is opposite of what the SEO writer is trying to achieve. Instead of attracting customers, it can deter them by sounding impersonal and unnatural.
A writer should never sacrifice quality for density. I think SEO writers would be better off focusing on writing compelling content that flows naturally, rather than spending hours conducting keyword density analysis. Natural SEO writing earns the respect of potential clients and search engines.
